I am Nick

I am Nick. And I like school again. I ask every morning "Am I going to school on this day?" I'm learning lots of spanish. I can sing songs in Spanish. I also am learning to write words. I can write Momma and I make her lots of pictures and stick them on her door.

This week I am very excited - I get to go on my very first ever Field Trip. We're going to ride the bus and go to the pumpkin patch. I am not sick so I will get to go. Kyle is sick. He sounds funny. But he is not in my class.

I played soccer this weekend. It was very, very cold! I only have one more soccer game left - then we get to have a soccer party at Paradise Park! We get to eat lots of pizza and get trophies and stuff. It will be my first trophy.

I wish we could go to Worlds of Fun again. Here are some pictures. And a picture of the Kansas City 5 soccer guys!

Nick's Ramblings

Hi. I like going to Royals games. I saw two home runs at this game.

I like drawing pictures of my family. I made a family collage at school.

My soccer team is fun. We're the Sharks.

We went to Worlds of Fun. I want to blog about that but the pictures aren't on the computer yet.

I will talk about that next.

I had my picture taken at school. I wanted to use my "new smile." Momma wanted me to smile "normal." I sold a lot of cookies for my school. I want to eat them now. More later when we have worlds of fun pictures!

Selling Stuff

Well, I'm an official school kid now .. because I'm selling stuff to raise money for my school. BUT my stuff is pretty cool: COOKIES!
And it's the kind that come frozen - and already in chunks ... so all you do is pick how many you want, place on the pan, and pop in the oven.

I can write my NAME!

I can write my name ... see? This is the first time I ever wrote it. Now I write it on everything.

But ... I want to stay home.

Nick's first day of school went great. Had no problem leaving him - he was very excited. And when we came home, of course, he had a lot to talk about.

But it ended there. Now, tears. Now - sometimes the tears come the night BEFORE his school day. (He goes on Mon / Weds / Fri ). So, he's struggling a bit. He mostly just says he wants to stay home and play. I'm sure it's just because he's always just been home .. and been able to do his own thing ... rather than go along with a "lesson plan." So, while it's tough to have him have tears at drop off (and pick up!) it's important for him to go. (And no, it certainly doesn't help that Nick drew an adorable self portrait of himself ... and it looks like someone is holding his hand...and when Ryan asked him about it, Nick said "That's Me .. and you coming to get me.")

He seems to do well once he's there - he's already writing his name!!!!! He had never written his name before, and the other day he came home with his papers, and there it was, the first time he had ever written his name. And I must say, it is SOOOO adorable. I'll take a picture of it and post it here.

First Day of School!

Today was my first day of pre-school.



It was rainy. My teacher's name is Miss Lillian.




Daddy and Momma gave me hugs when they took me to school.







I had fun. We had snacks and nap time and I played with blocks.

I'm Going to PreSchool!

I'm so excited - I get to go to school, like my big brothers. I got school supplies - and put them all in my backpack ... with my name on them. I have a Spider-man backpack. I have new clothes and new shoes for school.

I'm going to go to school on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. My first day is Wednesday. My brothers get to go to school on Tuesday.

I'm also excited because I get to play "real" soccer this fall - with uniforms and cleats and everything. My daddy is coach. We are the "Sharks." Our color is green and I am number 1.

Our first game is this Saturday. I want to score lots of goals. When I get my name on my shirt I will take a picture of me in my uniform and put it here.

I can't wait until I go to school and see my teacher!
I also like Missouri Tigers football. They are going to win.
I had a cool vacation in Hilton Head. I went surfing. I love the beach. Love it love it love it.

Alright.  I like spiderman which is my favorite super hero ... he totally climbs walls.

And Venom also climbs walls.  He has super webs and he can totally climb walls.

And the black Venom used to be with the bad spiderman ... and Spongebob always be's with Patrick.   I don't know why Spongebob misses his bus, holding his balloon.  (Blogging and watching TV at the same time.)

I like to do play with my toys.  And KYle's toys and JAck's toys and sleep in their beds.

I like eating candy.  And I'm allergic to gum.   (not really)

You know,  I really like Spiderman.  Skittles freak me out.  Spiderman always flips.

 I like going to houses, like friend's houses.  

I need to go put my clothes on now.  I'm wearing my jammies.
